Farmfoods, Nottingham
Braithwaite Group were employed by Farmfoods Ltd, to construct a new purpose built 14,000 sq ft store in Nottingham.
The scheme included major piling works as well as a sophisticated attenuation and a soakaway system including all new permeable paving to all car park areas, to work with a significant existing drainage infrastructure to meet local requirements due to previous low levels on the site.
Braithwaite Group had to work closely with Nottingham City Council highways department, in order to facilitate the repositioning of existing incoming services, while ensuring there was no disruption to the major road that runs parallel to the site. All 278 works were carried out by Braithwaite Group.
The works carried out were the following:
- Steel pile foundations
- Steel portal frame
- Kingspan composite roof & wall cladding
- New boundary wall
- New permeable blockwork car park including soakaway crate system
- New perimeter retaining walls
- Two new 278 highway entrances
- Complete internal fit out to turnkey status
The project was completed on time and within budget.
